I began hand-carving many years ago with just a box cutter, then chisels, but moved to carving with power tools in 2020. Most of my carvings are inspired by the natural world, especially the creatures and plants to be found around where I live, between the Chambaran and the Vercors mountains in south-eastern France.

My sculptures are carved using a variety of tools, depending on their size, and are carved out of wood from the trees around where I live, especially walnut, lime / basswood, ash, chestnut, cherry, birch, and beech (for more information see Tools & Techniques).
